About OncoVOIS
Can OncoVOIS diagnose cancer?
No. OncoVOIS explains what is written in your medical reports. Only qualified doctors can diagnose cancer.
Can OncoVOIS tell me which treatment I should take?
No. It shows options that may be worth discussing, with their evidence level. Your oncologist decides what is right for you.
Does OncoVOIS replace an oncologist?
No. It helps you understand and prepare. Your oncologist remains in charge of your care.
Medical reports
Can it interpret biopsy results?
It can explain the terms and findings in a written biopsy or pathology report. It does not look at the tissue slides themselves.
Can it interpret NGS reports?
Yes, it can explain the genes, mutations and fusions listed in a written NGS report, and highlight what your doctor may want to discuss.
AI accuracy
How accurate is OncoVOIS?
AI can make mistakes. That is why you check every extracted detail, each fact shows its source, and clinicians can verify your profile.
What happens if AI reads something incorrectly?
You can correct it before it is saved, or report a problem on any item. Corrections are tracked.
Cancer treatments
Where does treatment information come from?
From recognised guidelines, regulators, official trial registries and peer-reviewed research. Our Medical Sources page explains how they are ranked.
Clinical trials
Can it find cancer clinical trials?
It can identify trials that may be relevant to your profile, using official registries such as ClinicalTrials.gov and CTRI.
Does finding a trial mean I qualify?
No. Only the trial investigator can decide whether you are eligible.
Costs
Can OncoVOIS estimate treatment cost?
Where verified price information is available, yes. Estimates are for planning; actual bills can differ.
Privacy
Who can see my reports?
Only you, and anyone you choose to share them with. CancerFax sees them only if you ask for their help.
Is my information used to train AI?
No. We do not use identifiable health information to train AI models, and we never sell your information or use it for advertising.
Can I delete all my information?
Yes. Open Privacy and your data in the app and choose Delete all my data.
Can my family access my profile?
Only if you choose to share it with them. Nothing is shared without your agreement.
Voice
Is my voice recording kept?
No. When you speak, the recording is uploaded so it can be turned into text, then deleted.
Languages
Which languages does it speak?
35 languages, for both voice and text. Some translations are made by machine; if something reads wrong, tell us on WhatsApp.
Subscriptions
Is OncoVOIS free?
OncoVOIS may offer both free and paid features. Anything included in a paid plan is shown to you before you buy.
CancerFax support
How can the CancerFax team help?
CancerFax can help with expert opinions, treatment centres, clinical trials or funding. It is a separate service that may be paid, and it sees your information only when you ask and agree to share it.
